Open Letter to the sheriffs and the sheriffs handbook

Many Sheriffs have forgotten what their actual duties include. When a Sheriff takes an oath of office it is not to the state, but instead, to the Constitution of the United States. Sheriffs are the only law enforcement agencies set up that protect the Constitution and the people of the nation.

However, many states have written state statutes that try to limit the powers of a Sheriff and his duty to the people he serve. Therefore, we have many unconstitutional Sheriffs now working in our system.

It is our duty as people of this great nation to remind Sheriffs who they are and why they were elected by the people to serve and protect the people. The open letter to the Sheriff and a copy of the Sheriff Handbook is a great way to educate your local Sheriff what their actual job and duties are.
